Show direction, stage design, and visuals for Indonesian rap superstar Rich Brian’s world tour and festival performances
Fresh off the release of his album WHERE IS MY HEAD?, Rich Brian wanted to build a live show that expanded on the album’s concept and lore, where self-reflection is heightened into self-surveillance.
We created a stage concept that inspired by this theme, building an installation that surrounded Brian with a menacing array of CCTV cameras that could expand in size for festival stages and contract to fit more intimate venues. Through visuals, we introduced the show as a surreal Twilight Zone-esque television program and brought fans deeper into each song through the album’s symbolism and meme-driven internet lore that launched Brian to stardom.
