WHATMORE CoachellaClient: WHATMORE2026

Overview Stage design and visuals to bring the spirit of New York City to the desert for hip hop group WHATMORE’s first ever Coachella WHATMORE had never played a stage like Coachella before — big, open, daytime, for a festival crowd of thousands. They wanted a stage that captured their unapologetic New York identity while delivering the visual impact worthy of their Coachella debut. The brief was simple: bring NYC to the desert

I assembled and directed a team of technical, production, and visual designers to concept and execute an immersive stage environment for WHATMORE that was inspired by New York as a city and culture always under construction — one that constantly reintegrates, reinvents, rebuilds itself. Our animated visual backdrop soared through the city skyline while our stage design allowed WHATMORE to perform and interact with iconic elements of NY streets — steam stacks, construction materials, and our very own hot dog stand.
